Digital Participation: Transforming Communities Together

mStreet Fiber believes that fiber broadband’s transformational economic, healthcare, educational and societal benefits are only fully realized when fiber broadband is accessible community wide.

Our digital enablement programs are designed so everyone in the community can participate, regardless of income levels.

mStreet Fiber incorporate a three-pronged approach to making fiber broadband accessible, affordable and usable community wide:

  • Access:  to ensure the entire community benefits from the transformational benefits of fiber broadband, our infrastructure passes at least 85% of premises within our project footprints, including at least 85% in low-income communities.  In fact, mStreet Fiber will not undertake a project that does not serve the entire community.
  • Affordability:  mStreet Fiber’s ISP partners offer service plans designed to meet the specific needs of low-income residents in the communities we serve. In addition to service plans, and in partnership with ISP, municipal and community partners, we connect low-income residents with available device and equipment subsidies.
  • Usability:  in collaboration with local municipal partners, community organizations and residents, mStreet Fiber designs and deploys digital skill training programs that are readily available and delivered by trusted members of the community.   Digital skills training is available for free to qualifying low-income residents.

mStreet Fiber holds itself accountable for meaningfully driving digital participation in Memphis, Central Indiana and Central Alabama.

We measure our success through tangible results, including the number and percentage of local low-income residents whose premises we pass, who participate in digital enablement programs and adopt service.

By focusing on community-wide access, affordability and usage, mStreet Fiber is equipping entire communities to thrive.
